Bronx Princess Arts Festival and Community Fair

The Bronx Princess Arts Festival was a huge success! Performances by Blitz the Ambassador, mamarazzi, and Kewulay Kamara rocked the South Bronx premiere of Bronx Princess, presented by Rooftop Films. Thanks to BJ's Wholesale Club for making the event possible.

Film Festival Round-up - Award Winner

Bronx Princess won its first award at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, Montana! The film took home the prize for Best Short Documentary.

Last month, the film screened at the True/False Film Festival in Columbia, MO. The festival is a celebration of the documentary film community and we were proud to be there again. The catalog described the film's "energetic pace and impressive visual style."

Berlin Film Festival

Bronx Princess continues its European run at the Berlin Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale, one of the most prestigious festivals in the world. The film is in competition as part of the Generation program, a special section that looks at the world from the viewpoint of children and youths. Yoni and Musa will be in Berlin participating in the Berlin Talent Campus and Q&As.

Yoni and Musa wrote about their experience in Berlin on the ITVS blog "Beyond the Box".

Bronx Princess World Premiere - Amsterdam

Bronx Princess will premiere at IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam), the largest documentary film festival in the world. The film is part of the Reflecting Images - Panorama program, showcasing films that are "thought-provoking in form and choice of theme". More information is on the festival website.
